Why we started DermatoGPT.

Almost everyone has stared at a patch of skin and wondered: is this nothing, or is this something?

Many skin conditions look alike, so it is hard to know whether a rash, spot or flare-up is harmless or needs attention. Searching online returns a long list of conflicting possibilities that have nothing to do with what you are actually seeing. And getting a dermatology appointment can take days or weeks.

We started DermatoGPT to close that gap. Most people do not need a diagnosis in the first five minutes. They need to know what it might be, whether they can look after it themselves, and when it is time to see a doctor.

Dermatology is a triage problem before it is a diagnosis problem. The idea DermatoGPT is built on

What we believe.

Building health technology comes with responsibility. These principles shape every decision, from the questions we ask to how we store a photo.

Triage before diagnosis

We focus on the decision people actually face: home care, a doctor's visit or urgent help.

Safety over certainty

When something could be serious, we say so clearly and point people to a clinician, even if that means a less satisfying answer.

Private by design

Skin photos are personal. They are encrypted, stored in the EU, and never sold or used for advertising.

Plain language, always

Medical information should be understandable. We explain what we found without jargon or alarm.

The people behind it.
