Is DermatoGPT a diagnosis?

No. DermatoGPT gives you guidance, not a diagnosis. It suggests possible explanations for what you are seeing and helps you decide on a sensible next step. Only a qualified clinician can diagnose a skin condition or prescribe treatment.

How does an assessment work?

You upload a clear photo of the skin concern, then answer a few short questions about symptoms, how long it has been there, where it is on your body and any relevant history. DermatoGPT combines the image and your answers to show possible causes, care options and whether it is worth seeing a doctor. Most assessments take under three minutes.

What happens to my photos?

Your photos are encrypted in transit and at rest, stored in the EU, and never sold or used for advertising. We do not use your images to improve our models unless you explicitly opt in, and you can delete any assessment or your whole account at any time. Read the full privacy policy.

Which skin concerns can it help with?

DermatoGPT is designed for common, everyday concerns such as rashes, acne, eczema, contact dermatitis, hives, psoriasis, rosacea and fungal infections. For moles or spots that are new, changing or bleeding, it will always recommend an in-person check with a dermatologist.

Does it work on all skin tones?

It should, and we are testing for it. Many skin conditions look different on darker skin, and a lot of medical imagery under-represents it. We evaluate DermatoGPT across the full range of skin tones before every release and track how well it performs for each one.

When should I skip the app and get help right away?

Seek urgent medical care, or call 112 in the EU, if a rash spreads quickly, comes with fever, swelling of the face or throat, or difficulty breathing, if your skin is blistering or peeling over a large area, or if the concern involves your eyes or mouth. Do not wait for an app in these situations.

How much does it cost?

Basic photo checks are free. A Premium plan, planned for 2027, will add unlimited checks, follow-up questions, progress photos and a personal skin history. You will always be able to use the free plan without entering payment details.

When can I start using DermatoGPT?

We are opening assessments to a first group of early users in November 2026, followed by a public beta in early 2027. Start an assessment and we will let you know as soon as your spot is ready.

I run a clinic, pharmacy or telehealth service. Can we work together?

Yes. We are building DermatoGPT so healthcare partners can use it for patient intake and triage. Email contact@dermatogpt.app and tell us a little about your service.
